Poetic Critiques (a cry for help)
She said the piece I had just written
was good but poor. I tried to tell her
that waxing eloquently, at this time,
wasn't the thing I was aiming for.
Writing off the cuff suits me just fine.
Perfection takes work, persistence and
lots of time - like a sommelier waiting
patiently to turn a bottle into aged wine.
Good beer don't take nearly that long.
