Snookered
Here came an acquaintance
in an old,black car.
jump in,say's he
we'll go for a spin!
This is fun,thought we!
But wait!
Suddenly,there is a POLICE PRESENCE.
Run,say's he
and we did
Unfortunately to no avail!
Cornered,collared and confused,
we were invited in
to a second black vehicle
Jump in,say's they;
large men and formidable.
what could go wrong?
Innocent and only taking the evening air,
we had nothing to fear
as we were ushered into a fine building
well built and fortress like.
Equipped for trouble!
Equipped also with a snooker table
and a good rack of polished cues,
one of which was rapidly removed
and thrust,in a most unfriendly manner
into my comrade,s gut!
I,foolish youth,made a break
and once again,no balls were used
but the memory dull,s at this point
and complaints
though made
were frowned upon.
OUR OFFICERS??
why,the policeman is your friend
and his,a noble calling...dave hobbs
