Bearing Fruit

Old man Israel crossed his arms
and upon Ephraim and Manasseh
he laid his hands.

Blessing them with boundless fortunes,
the gates of their enemies, and
the promised lands.

We bear the fruit of our God's labor,
We are the Brits and the Americans,
and we are Israelite.

Twigs from the branch of Joseph,
and from the trunk of Abraham,
who IS the tree of life.
