Weakness Within**

Lord, there is a weakness within,
that saps us to the soul's skin,
tearing us from what matters most,
separating us from your heavenly host.

An angry heart weakens the strongest soul,
leaving it far from eternity's control.
It seldom seeks the calming of prayer,
holding rather to bitterness that glares.

Anger bares no fruit divine,
its branches infecting the whole vine,
no fruit produced, no hope defined,
emptiness is all that anger finds.

Love is the fruit that bares it's own,
from the true vine that attones,
for all the sin that anger brings,
when only love should truly ring.

Galatians 5:22 "But the fruit of the Spirit
is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness,"
