Your Holy Face**

How much of human nature should we agree,
to accept as worthy of following Thee?
What we see as pure and holy today,
would surely have shocked followers of yesterday.

We struggle with every day values and moors,
forgiveness for trespasses we implore,
not looking back at failure or success,
striving ahead from today's bareness.

Help us to choose what is right and true,
knowing it can only be found in you.
Let us not become weak and still,
uncertain what is your command and will.

Looking back can bring many forgotten tears,
pressing on in you will lighten all our fears.
All this world has to offer could never replace,
the promise that we will see your Holy face.

as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to
God-this is your spiritual act of worship."
