Shadows On the Wall

[1st v:]

I guess I should have known
As nothing
Was carved in stone

To take away
What once was
Cast aside
Even though
It fades away
Like undying love

Lifted up to breathe again
Finding life....again
That lies within

Not good enough
To appease wandering views
Shattered glass
Gives
Multi colored
Hues

[1st ch:]

The shadows on the wall
Seem
Sometimes
Ten feet tall

Hoping for peace to reign
They never quite understand
That I did my best

Its not the same
The disillusion
Haunts the soul
Never quite knowing
To turn
To say
Just how to reach
What goal

[2nd v:]

Shattered pieces
Scattered on the floor
Tracing the steps
To follow
What existed before

So easily taken away
So easily forgotten

Its just another day

Looking out the window
Day turns to night
Not knowing where I am
The bus turns so I can walk back
Following the glowing street lights

The path to walk is long
Long enough to perhaps forget
What I try to deny
It doesn't matter....
He already forgot what he now denies

Take a ride with me
Fly away with me
High above
In to the sky
Up we go....
Fly away with me

[2nd ch:]

The shadows on the wall
Seem
Sometimes
Ten feet tall

Hoping for peace to reign
They never quite understand
I did my best

Its not the same
The disillusion haunts the soul
Never quite knowing
To turn
To say
Just how to reach
What goal
