 Street of Despair**

I was angry with my Savior,
I was angry with my Lord.
I had heard the words of Jesus,
but I had taken up the sword.

What use was there in any belief,
when in the world was so much grief,
around every corner a street of despair,
where all humanity seemed not to care.

A world of disasters from both sun and rain,
or those more human that blow apart and maim,
where fighting seems all that ever reigns,
and rumors of peace are met with disdain.

Yet, if one takes another look around,
on this seemingly God-forsaken ground,
small acts of kindness can be found,
from where they come may astound.

Good or bad is what humanity names,
not what the Creator would ever claim,
all have creation's gift of free will,
in every heart His love would instill.

Our choices leave us without excuse,
knowing He is there though life confuse,
what today befalls every man,
with eternity's gift of His everlasting plan.

Genesis 17:7  "I will establish my covenant
as an everlasting covenant between me and
you and your descendants after you for the
generations to come, to be your God and the
God of your descendants after you."
