Bread Of Life 2000

Bread Of Life is Jesus my Lord,
food of the soul found in His Word.
A world full of food hunger desires,
cannot fill the emptiness He inspires.

Most of us have never gone without,
yet we know what hunger is all about.
We gather food to feed those in need,
hoping a place in our hearts to accede.

Jesus used the words we know best,
to perform a very simple test,
of what in life will truly sustain,
the body and soul of a Christian frame.

The food we carelessly eat today,
will surely turn sour another day.
The food of the soul will remain,
stored in the heart without stain.

John 6:50-51  "But here is the bread
that comes down from heaven, which a
man may eat and not die.  I am the
living bread that came down from heaven.
If anyone eats of this bread, he will
live forever. This bread is my flesh,
which I will give for the life of the world."
