Forgotten Sin 09/07/2019

You never left me Lord,
   though I turned a different way.
I refused to listen to the
   Spirit You gave.

The darkness I worked so hard to flee.
   came ever close to destroying me.
Instead You brought me back again
   to where I had always been.

You showed me more of my forgotten sin,
   helping me through the pain therein.
Drawing me back to where I was first lost,
   for this was where He had paid the cost.

Psalm 51:10-11  Create in me a pure heart,
oh God, and renew a steadfast spirit within
me. Do not cast me from Your presence or
take Your Holy Spirit from me.
