Shifting Ground 2018 Lord, the ground I walked on was
shifted and loose.
The ground I chose could not
withstand my sin.
Any solid ground that found
my feet,
brief moments of faith I
fleetingly found.
Still, I jumped from one to
the other,
each rock holding my
weakened ground.
Dangerous demons were
all around.
My days were shattered
and torn.
What I sought nearly
drowned my soul.
But once again a footing
I found.
Quiet beaches brought
me needed peace.
Slippery rocks never far
from my naked feet.
Colossians 1:23 ...provided that you
persevere in the faith, firmly grounded,
stable, and not shifting from the hope
of the gospel that you heard...
