Bridge Of Redemption 09/02/1993

There is a bridge we all must cross,
a final bridge that leads to a cross.
The bridge of Calvary is the bridge of redemption.
A bridge from which there is no exemption.

It carries us to a God who is over all,
making all other gods seem small.
This bridge is not built with human hands,
leading only to where God stands.

It spans a gap that was once impassible,
by a God that truly did the impossible.
Bridging our unredeemable souls,
with a cross carried to Calvary's knoll.

It bridged the gap between earth's sin and shame,
to heaven's most glorious eternal plain.
Though we deserve sin's dark fiery death,
He built a bridge with one final breath.

Each passing day brings us closer to heaven's bridge,
those who remain steadfast are filled with His courage.
When the final day comes to cross the bridge's last mile,
we will see Him on the other side as He greets us with a smile.

Hebrews 9:12  ...and not through the blood of goats and
calves, but through His own blood, He entered the Holy
Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.
