Between The Lies 2019

Lord, Your lessons have come and gone,
even when I was so very young.
I have heard Your truths between the lies,
following You even when faith would die.

Coming back is haltingly slow,
clouded devotions that just don't flow.
Reaching out to what I first knew,
insights that are sought by so very few.

Thy words are my only inspiration.
You set them down with my hand.
You are the one the words flow through,
sifting my soul to speak what is true.

Psalm 71:20  Thou who has shown me
many troubles and distresses, will
revive me again from the
depth of the earth.
