Home Eternal 2003

I've lived many places
throughout my life.
Some were easy changes made,
many full of fear and strife.

Leaving the place where I was born,
produced both happiness and a life torn.
First to live with extended family,
then going out alone living life with the free.

After a small dose of what the world affords,
I discovered a home with a new found Lord.
A life that took me from family and friends,
but never left me without a "home" again.

Wherever life took me "home" was always there.
through marriage vows and children to bare.
Following a loved ones dream of success,
but keeping "home" in sight in times of distress.

Through triumph and tragedy, rights and wrongs,
there was always a "home" where I truly belonged.
Even through the longest valleys of darkest fear,
my spiritual "home" was always comfortingly near.

Full of saints and sinners, no perfection ever found,
just believers with love that often more than astounds.
This is the "home" I have long searched life for,
the same "home" I will find on eternity's shores.

II Corinthians 5:1  For if we know the earthly tent we
live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an
eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.
