Heaven Sent 2018 Lord, let me walk with You,
in the light of Your mercy and grace,
where I would have forfeited the race,
and would no longer set the pace.
You have brought me together
with my empty past,
where I would have defended
my soul at last.
But no defense could I successfully make,
and so I begged my faults You take.
At a time when I should have sought You more,
I turned from You and almost shut the door,
lost in confusion my mind and soul almost spent,
Your "Amazing Grace" was heaven sent.
Your music I could somehow still hear,
penetrating noise in my mind unclear,
calling me back to His redemption still true,
covering all the doubt You still brought me through.
II Kings 17:15 They rejected His statutes,
the covenant He had made with their ancestors,
and the warnings He had given them. They followed
emptiness and became empty; they followed the
surrounding nations whom the Lord had commanded
them not to imitate.
