Since The First Hour**

Lord, Your love for us came first,
before each of us did our worst,
even before our repetitive cries,
finally opened our unseeing eyes.

For all the Faith we may accrue,
does not compare to Your love so true,
that loves us even when we are wrong,
keeping us safe even when we are not strong.

Lord, thank You for Your mercy undeserved,
for a Savior that for us redemption served.
Thank You for Your grace given free,
if only we continue to believe in Thee.

For though we love You with all earth's power,
You have loved us since the first hour,
shining light on the darkest transgression,
only requiring our deepest confession.

Lord, help us remember Your love foremost,
living in us through the Holy Ghost,
filtering our love through divine intervention,
our love for You the first to mention.
