My Only Pride**

Lord, thank You for this time of rest,
to refine my earthly quest.
Lead me where You would have me be,
show me the direction I cannot see.

Lots of wealth I've only fleetingly desired,
to make a difference is most required,
in the lives of others that need a hand,
to honor you my utmost plan.

No fame is needed to bring You near,
my only pride in Your messages I hear,
to form the words that reach the heart,
that from each truth I not depart.

Psalm 39:4-5  "O Lord  make me know my
end and what is the measure of my days;
let me know how fleeting I am! Behold,
you have made my days a few hand breaths,
and my lifetime is as nothing before you.
Surely all mankind stands as a mere breath!
