Shaping Words**

Lord, a pen can be an old friend,
writing words that never seem to end,
shaping words to tell a story,
praising You in all Your glory.

The pen is poised and ready to flow,
with inspired verse for all to know.
For once the ink is on the page,
it stays forever part of this day and age.

Words that are read by many touched by few,
who understand what the author first knew,
that the words she writes come from You,
and keep her returning to find something new.

Words that often amaze even her,
blessed by insight that within stirs,
her pen to begin to write yet again,
letting her creator's spirit enter in.
