A Purchased Soul 2000

Heaven's kingdom is full of light,
its brilliance an astounding sight,
with no darkness to dim the view,
no shaded places for evil to ensue.

A place where only Holiness can live,
no resting place in Heaven can sin give,
not able to look on the evil man has wrought,
without the price that redemption has bought.

A purchased soul to Heaven is bound,
Heaven seeing only sacred ground,
out-shining any darkness that may still abound,
Heaven sees only Holiness as our God looks down.

Accepting our sin and all its due,
brings us from darkness to light anew,
faith in a Savior holding Heaven's restoring light,
that washes all earth's darkness from sight.
