Expect More
[1st v:] If I could Create more time What would it take For any of all That would Be mine All too close To see No mistakes No misunderstandings All is as it is Can.... Should not be The sun can not Warm the room Shine so bright Drawn closer To the moon Confusion Gives way to doubt Truth to hold But one creates more rhyme Than reason....too bold.... Leaving a warm beating heart So alone and cold [1st ch:] Can't expect more Than what Presents in face Can't deny What has been exposed So easily To be traced When one Expects more They weigh What they Want What they Need You need more Of what you want You want more Of what you need Then wait to wonder The price to pay Of the cost Is it all worth it If it all too soon Becomes lost [2nd v:] Of My heart To you I give all of too much Of my all I only want....need Would ever allow For only you....to touch Time moves on in seconds To minutes My love for you consistently Returns My heart lives in thoughts of you Always forever in It breathes and burns Sometimes I take a few steps Forwards Then take....a few steps back Leaving me to know What certain moments severely lack My fault lies In placing you Up so high So deep within my heart The only one Who forever shines....always Within my eyes Does true love Really exist So many years through passing time Count on what you learn And walk a straight line In anger The truth One sometimes tries to deny But true love does exist When I always knew You're the only one My heart could never resist [2nd ch:] Can't expect more Than what Presents in face Can't deny What has been exposed So easily To be traced When one Expects more They weigh What they Want What they Need You need more Of what you want You want more Of what you need Then wait to wonder The price to pay Of the cost Is it all worth it If it all too soon Becomes lost Written : 5/3/2008 Written For: ~ Richard ~
