Fading Rose In Shattered Glass

[1st v:]

If I
Had the moment
To tell myself
Just exactly
What does last

I would finally
Be able to say
That everything
I felt....
Were the answers
To all questions
I ever asked

Why
Would I
Ever doubt
When I always knew
What this
Was all about

To know
I was right
All along
Amplifies the hurt
Just a little more
But let's me again

Once know
Just because I love
Does not mean
I ever lost sight

[1st ch:]

One so beautiful
And true

The shades of red
Now fade
To blue

As the fading rose
Withers
And dies
In shattered glass

True emotions
Tossed aside
While the storm
Rains on the soft green grass

No need to pretend
This love
Was something
While in your care
It was torn
No care would you
Ever....send

[2nd v:]

Picking up
The dried petals
Fallen on the ground

Like rain
Tear drops fall
But
Never hearing a sound

Look around
Now one can see
All that is there
All that is true

No love can be found
For me....
No love....for me
Lives inside of you

No warm touch
No spoken words

Only the sound of
A broken heart
Is heard....

Like the fading rose
It shows signs
Of all that is true

There's no hope
There's no caring warmth
The ice cold air
Of emptiness
Fills the room
Giving the gift
Of all shades
Of blue

[2nd ch:]

One so beautiful
And true

The shades of red
Now fade
To blue

As the fading rose
Withers
And dies
In shattered glass

True emotions
Tossed aside
While the storm
Rains on the soft green grass

No need to pretend
This love
Was something
While in your care
It was torn
No care would you
Ever....send

[close]

No need for me
To wonder why

No need for me
To look your way

In your heart
No love for me
Lives there....anytime
Anyway
