Bended Knee 2000

Lord, don't make my way without strife,
that I may not find eternal life.
Do not protect me from a world that is lost,
that I not understand Thy precious cost.

Lord, do not shield my eyes from another's pain,
they may not have learned to call on Your name.
Though I am not in prison or in chains,
may I live a life that shows only You truly reign.

Lord, that I reach You whether rich or poor,
reduce my high and mighty way, I implore,
that I not put myself above another,
or cast judgement on a spiritual brother.

Lord, only You can truly judge any soul,
according to Your written word we extol.
Heaven is already ours whether here or there,
while bringing others through words of prayer.

May no one be omitted from my sincere pleas,
thinking they may not deserve a bended knee.
If no one on earth had ever knelt for me,
where in all heaven's eternity would I be?

Romans 14:11-12 "As surely as I live", says the
Lord, "every knee will bow before me; every tongue
will confess to God. So then, each of us will give
an account of himself to God."
