Destination Of My Soul**

I see You everywhere I go these days,
in everything I do and say,
yet sometimes I forget to be quiet and still,
finding the message of Your love and will.

I look for peace in the midst of wild frenzy,
finding only tension, jealousy, and envy,
until I suddenly tell it all to leave,
so I can find the one in whom I believe.

Surprisingly long have I been away,
thinking I had found You day to day,
yet without Your guiding light there,
I almost gave up in despair.

Traveling without You to any goal,
causes near abandonment of my soul.
Taking You with me through this life,
brings a world of less burden and strife.

Let me always listen for Your voice,
in Your presence always to rejoice.
Quiet my heart, still my soul within,
let my faith and love this moment begin.

do not turn Your servant away in anger,
you have been my helper.  Do not reject
me or forsake me, O God my Savior."
