In The Shadows

[1st v;]

If someone walked
Through the door
Would you be able
To see the light
To care anymore....
Night or day
Reveals anything
What comes your way
Does it....anymore
Matter
Down you go
Up a little higher
If you climb the latter
All is now
In the light
How much longer
Before you make it
All....right

[1st ch:]

You hide your fears
You pose to give your smile
In the shadows
Where no one can see
You shed your tears
How many fall
In sugar coated
Insecure
Smothered adoration....
Who really hears
Your call....
You want to believe
What your heart
Now so fooled
And blind
Can no longer see
The one in the shadows
She knows
So long....ago
Heard the call
That someone is me

[2nd v:]

Walk along the sea side
The night winds
So strong....blow
Darkness can for only so long
Hide....
What you want
No one to ever know
You're here
You're there
Does it even sometimes matter
Where....
Turn the key
Take a long drive
Who do you see....
Is it worth your time
How much does it mean
How long do you walk
An ever growing thin line
It's o.k.
No one knows
No one sees
The only one who ever really knew
Was me
That's why it doesn't matter
Keep finding hidden messages
In the secret
Find the key
Climb that latter
You can't deny your heart
What it desires
Who can it be....
We already know
Does it even anymore matter

[2nd ch:]

You hide your fears
You pose to give your smile
In the shadows
Where no one can see
You shed your tears
How many fall
In sugar coated
Insecure
Smothered adoration
Who really hears
Your call....
You want to believe
What your heart
Now so fooled
And blind
Can no longer see
The one in the shadows
She knows
So long....ago
Heard the call
That someone is me
