 MAILMAN

(TO ALL THE INMATES AROUND THE WORLD)

THE MAILMAN, PAST MY CELL AGAIN;
NO LETTER DID, HE SLIP WITHIN;

I SMILED AND THEN I MADE A JOKE;
ONCE AGAIN, MY HEART WAS BROKE;

I WRITE TO YOU WITH PEN IN HAND;
FROM THIS CLOSE, BUT DISTANT LAND;

WHERE TIME STANDS STILL AND ALWAYS WILL;
ONCE AGAIN, I WAIT FOR THE U.S. MAIL....
