Threads Of Time2  04/25/2011

The threads of time are thin and worn,
many are weak or badly torn.
The broken strands have seen little repair,
not able to stand the abandonment of care.

Looking back when the threads were strong,
wondering now where they have all gone.
Now losely flying in time and space,
the fabric shredded - pieces displaced.

Longing to weave the pattern together again,
not knowing how to start or where to begin.
The garment now sewn is weak at best,
the first threads failing times first tests.

One strand still draws me near,
its tug pulls through all the years.
Unraveling all the early fears,
without remembering any of the tears.

Ecclesiastes 3: 7-8
A time to rend, and a time to sew;
a time to be silent, and a time to speak.
A time to love, and a time to hate;
A time of war, and a time of peace.
