This is the Day 2012 This is the day that the Lord has made,
Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
This is the day that Terry took his own life,
leaving behind his beautiful wife.
It is a day to mourn in anguish of grief,
gathering with loved ones in disbelief.
It is a day when death should not have been.
A day when Terry's sadness would win.
What kind of rejoicing is ours today?
When this kind of grief can find its way,
piercing the hearts of so many of us,
who gave our love and deepest trust.
This is the day that the Lord has made,
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Our friend gave us part of himself,
as long as he could.
His decision of death may never be understood.
Jeremiah 31:13 ...I will turn their mourning
into joy, I will show them compassion and
have them rejoice after their sorrows.
