Thanksgiving Blessings 11/08

Today is a day for thankfulness and cheer,
a day when life's memories are so dear.
A day to reflect on the blessings of days past,
the focus on today its meaning so vast.

Today one of the year's greatest feasts,
the abundance of food only the least,
of what the celebration is all about,
the year's blessings making us sing and shout.

For today we remember our provider and king,
and all the earthly gifts He surely brings,
thanking Him for each moments rest,
knowing He provides the very best.

Help us to give thanks through life's trials,
putting aside cares for just awhile,
though the world has many hardships to bare,
today we remember the blessings we share.

Colossians 2:6 "So then, just as you received
Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him,
rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in
the faith as you were taught, and overflowing
with thankfulness."
