Know The Savior 2000

Many good men today are laid to rest,
some of them among this earth's finest.
Climbing mountains, crossing streams,
reaching the stars to fulfill all their dreams.

Many women have gone on to their reward,
their life's deeds, "saintliness" restored.
Serving mother and father, husband and child,
never thought of as one to be loose or wild.

Many children have made parents proud,
serving "country" and "honor", praises said aloud.
A son coming home under red, white and blue,
daughter married with children more than a few,
parents crying as they often do.

"Good guys" everywhere are sought and found,
a world grateful for the deeds that abound,
needing the care of hearts that are true,
we raise their names for the day's glory anew.

But the greatest deed in all the land,
cannot pay the price of one sin done by man.
Good guys, bad guys, all are the same,
all must know their Savior by name.

Acts 16:30-32
Then he took them outside and asked,
"Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"  They answered,
"Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you and your family
will be saved."  Then they spoke the word of the
Lord to him and everyone in His home.
