Adam & Eve (Original Sin)? Okay, despite my apprehension of writing this post, the Holy Spirit is urging me to do so!
I've been praying on this topic for the last few weeks and I don't feel like I've received the truth yet. However, watching the videos below has helped me open my Spiritual Eyes a bit wider. Up until now, I've believed the "apple" story and took it quite literally. As my walk with God has gotten stronger, I'm starting to see things more Spiritual. Simply put, I'm evolving and I'm in search of the truth. The videos below present some very strong points that I had to consider:
What "fruit" did Adam and Eve really eat?
Was there an actual Serpent talking to Eve or is it a symbol for something else?
Who assumed that the apple was said fruit? Why?
What kind of apple/fruit you know that is "pleasing" enough to the eye that you would be tempted to disobey God, risking death?
Would God cause enmity between the "Serpent's Seed" and Eve's over an actual fruit?
Would God demote the Serpent to being a creepy thing that crawls if it didn't already have legs?
Would God punish this Serpent in such a way over an actual fruit?
Think about each question sincerely before answering. Watch the videos below and let what is said to simmer. I know allowing such questions to bounce around in your head fells blasphemous. I know questioning doctrines that we've been taught makes us feel guilty and angry if the truth contradicts that. I'm asking you guys to Call upon God about this for a revelation. Stay prayed up until He answers, for there is nothing wrong about asking questions.
