Immortal Soul 2003

Life whispers immortality unending,
an inner twist of human reason bending.
Death makes it's way through each and every day,
and still the sense of remaining stays.

Somewhere inside life says it is never gone,
yet all of humanity testifies it is wrong.
Our fleshly temples age and will not go on,
the breath of life stops even for the most strong,

We try to quiet the spirit through earthly doubts,
while victorious death screams and shouts!
But the victory belongs to those who surrender,
to the promise of everlasting life not a pretender.

For the soul exists as sure as bone and flesh,
immortality inside is vast and limitless.
It can grope in death's darkness or live in eternal light,
answering it's own question or staying in the night.

II Corinthians 5:1  For we know that if the earthly
tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building
from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built
by human hands.
