Illusions 2000

Dreams, illusions, fairy tales and magic,
sought by the lonely and most tragic.
Visions of romance, glory and fame,
all play a part of the living game.

Money to bring us the fortunes of this earth,
possessions to declare our value and worth.
Romantic encounters of love and the heart,
the reality of life, which tears the soul apart.

Heroes, knights-in-shining-armor, and gods,
there always seem to be those that beat the odds.
There is no magic in a true hero's soul,
but a Spirit-fed life in His control.

All the world's dreams, magic and love,
are illusions of life that belong to Him above.
There is no reality in earth's fame and glory,
without first allegiance to the Savior's story.

Matthew 6:19-21  Do not store up for yourselves
treasures on earth where moths and vermin destroy,
and where thieves break in and steal.  But store
up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths
and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not
break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there
will your heart be also.
