Refuge 2012

You have given us a soul, Lord
only asking that we give it back,
allowing us to choose the course
that we might remember the source.

There are blessings in my life
that I can't even fathom, Lord
still seeking Your holy refuge
that I not loose myself in false illusions.

Yet all of it has come through You,
looking past my earthly disgrace,
giving me the assurance of Your loving grace,
where eternal life extends the sweetest taste.

Psalm 143:8-9  Let me hear Thy loving
kindness in the morning, for I trust in Thee.
Teach me the way in which I should walk,
for to Thee I lift up my soul.  Deliver me,
O Lord, from my enemies; I take refuge in Thee.
