Illusive Dream**

There are those who dream dreams
they cannot discover,
so they never find the illusive dream
they endlessly seek,
so man's dreams they follow
never finding their own tomorrow.

They dream the dreams of
fleeting wealth,
and false earthly fame,
each one seeking the other's gain.
They hear not dreams of
the inner heart,
and the yearning soul,
as time takes its measured toll.

They hear not dreams of His
promise of redeeming grace,
hearing only dreams that
faith did not trace.
When all of life is said and done,
and heaven's eternity is now near,
they still dream the dream
they did not hear.

Zachariah 10:2 "The idols speak
deceitfully, diviners see visions
that lie; they tell dreams that are
false, they give comfort in vain.
Therefore the people wander like
sheep oppressed for lack of a shepherd."
