LETTER TO MY PAST

TO YOU PAST I WROTE

TO YOU MY PAST I WROTE
You were the past of a “blindfolded Dude” I quote
Days of my existence in shams and lies
Days where the other side of the truth I sight
Thinking I was utterly right but of a truth totally blind
Times I tried to conceal my falsehood like the air of the fresh wind
Passing over the disguises the truth I never knew

TO YOU MY PAST I WROTE
When in your favor, deceptions and fear I cast my votes
Like a convict before the judge
Opened to conflicts with no covers for me to dodge
When amidst of fiends and ruthless folks I always featured
And the future I pictured was for the rapture never to feature
Like a convict before a court with due justice for the world to see
Realities and truths of Life I ignored, troubles and self-satisfaction I beseech
The aftermath will come of the truth I never note
The fears you help to bear of the Nemesis for yesteryear
The more I strive to forget the more you make fear
You tell me is my fate so I better live by it
Though they were mistakes but you make them look so real
My mind accepts that fact so I tell myself no way!
I never forget my past so it helps to stray away

TO YOU MY PAST WROTE
The book of remembrance is never close
Glory be to God today is here now
The past you‘ll always being ‘cos for today you must bow
Gone shall be your days ‘cos every day is a fresh life
Great puzzles and hurdles awaits, and a great war to fight in life
More bridges and lanes to cross so I better prepare to carry my cross
Today is here now so I better stop recounting my loss
To you my past I wrote no homage for you again
This is just for you know I have no time again for your pains                                                                     So hear my songs now my past listen now ‘cos my time is running fast                                        To me you are no more a story of my past but indeed a glory from my past
I do not nurse you no more my past
Over your i claim my victory at last!

This poem is dedicated to all with heavy heart stay awake and away from your past. It is time you know that life holds more ahead than its hold in the past.
