Running For My Life

I am running for my life trying not to fall back into a life of misery.
This life is fall of drug dealing, killing, and people dying. Women
calling themselves bitches and hoes while adult men calling themselves
niggas. Where is the positive in a life like this?

I am running for my life trying my best not to go back to a place
where children die from gun shots. A place where HIV and
AIDS is like a common cold and love is awful and cold.
If you have respect, people look at you like you have a disease.

I am running for my life trying not to return to the valley of death.
In this valley is where a human being soul, spirit, and dream are killed.
The body is strong and firm but the minds are either destroyed or die.
Goals for life do not exist in this valley just adults playing until the
body fall down and die or end up in prison.

I am running for my life trying not to be apart of a world
where black people get shot by the cops and where the color
white means you are better a person, and being black means
you are dumb, lazy, and on warfare, or selling drugs.

I am running for my life achieving the things that many people says I can't
achieved. Not letting negativity break my spirit and my well to survive
in this world of high expectations. We all have to run for our lives
and achieve success in our lives to enjoy and bring hope for the life we live.
