 Bella Donna Hum and Sway

My guide through all these years....

Bella Donna  Hum and Sway

When she arrived
The wind was born
A wish granted
When the stars were gone

Her pulse, the catalyst
A velvet sound
Of  a bird on the wing
The citizen of dreams

She drifts on the jet stream
Like some ancient queen
Cape torn by the steeples
Of New Orleans

She makes the moon care
It hears her heartbeat
And climbs down its ladder
To set at her feet

A companion of starlight
And nights softly led
Quiet in her tower
A song in her head

A yesterday
That's here to stay
A bell through the night
The hum and the sway

Chanteuse
Autumn, 2013
