CLEANING UP

Cleaning up
Dick and Dora the two guys working round the place
came quitting time, I asked them about cleaning up.
Pointed me towards Henry and said get him
Henry that is, he'll clean it up. I sort of sidled
up to Henry, didn't know if he would agree.

Henry just looked at me with those big round eyes of his.
Okay I said I'll plug you in Henry. One touch of
his switch, and Henry went round the hallways.
I had to direct him; Henry after all is a vacuum cleaner.
All I could was hang on, you'd have though
he had me by the Henry halls. Between the two of us we
got the halls clean. Tight wee fella that Henry.

When I pulled the plug on him, he never offered a sound.
I'd have though he would close those big round eyes, and sleep.
Not a bit of it, he sat in the lovely clean halls very contented.
If I ever have a big cleanup again, well you know who I'll call on.
That wee red fella Henry, with those big round eyes.
Good vacuum cleaner, even if he has you by the Henry halls.
