Sensei (Teacher)
You challenge me.. you make me think...
you yank me back..keep me in sync.
You call me out.. when I hide…
You teach , you listen and you guide.
Hard headed as I can ever be,
You're the one that's there for me.
So ask me if I agree,
Yes..You bring out the best in me.
Thank you sensei for being here,
Helping me to see clear.
Few have ever climbed this wall.
And been allowed to see it all.
But the doors opened …unopposed.
None were shut..none were closed.
So welcome to my heart of hearts.
My imperfections.. and mistakes in art.
Please do come inside,
And to you I will confide
This I tell you honestly,
I will apply your words to me.
And at least before I die.
I want to give it my best try..
I thank you from the depths of my soul.
Look in your hand… it's my heart you hold.
You don't own it…that is true.
But I give a piece of it to you.
