How Did You Choose 2000Lord, how did you choose the men who followed You? Why did You choose only a select few? The fishermen that You brought from out of the sea, could not have been the best that the world decreed. What kind of words must have spewed forth, from the mouths of these sailors so course, yet, You spoke and without pause they came, proclaiming the Holiness of Your sacred name. One would betray You but You were not surprised, seeing this man with more than earthly eyes, knowing he was part of a greater plan, set in place even before You made man. These men had not the smallest degree, of the day's learning or scholarly spree, still men who followed the words of God, knowing their Savior was not a fraud. You used the foolish words of an unlearned few, to find believers that held Your covenant true, causing the spiritual leaders of the known day, to stumble over the meaning of Salvation's way. *** I Corinthians 1:19-21 For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate." Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe."
