NORMAN

He had a mischievous twinkling in his eyes, and a smirking little grin,
He loved to tease and dish it out, and I'd dish it back to him.

Sometimes we'd sit and talk, about the days of old.
How he'd run moonshine, that his Uncle had sold.

I never tired of hearing, of the fishing trips he took.
And how he'd caught the big one, on a little line and hook.

The morning that he left us, and never said good bye.
That was the only time, he ever made me cry.

He drifted away, like the morning breeze.
Trying out his angle wings, high above the trees.

Soaring up to Heaven, following a dove.
There to rest, in the arms of our Lord above.

There he will have no pain, and he will have no tears.
For me I'll cry and I will miss him, for many years.

I loved this man and he love me, I know it's true.
For I'd say I love you, and he'd say I love you too.

Norman left us the other day and it really makes me sad.
He was my Father In-law but I Proudly called him Dad.
