'War'

Hatred flowing throughout the world.

A troop stands atop a hill, saluting the waving flag of their native land.
Scattered corpses lay beneath.
Now nothing but numbers that a newsreader calls out to a disinterested public.
Men who fought for a cause whose solution they will not see,
A cause that a future generation may turn it's back on and tarnish.

Hatred flows between people who are separated only by the colours of their nation.
Not one ounce of compassion flows through the body of a sniper,
looking through the aim of his rifle,
straight into the heart of a man he has never met
But has just been trained to kill.
