~*~  Faded Rose  ~*~

[1st v:]

At first you begin
Then
As you start to grow

You become
The victim
Of someone else's
Sin

The colors begin to change
The beauty of you
Is carried away
So all the blame
Goes in different directions
In a full front range

But never taken away
Is the beauty
And happiness you brought
Once....
To each and every day

[1st ch:]

Everyone watches
As the rose
Begins to fade

Tears flow for her
Anger rises
For her return

But
She can not come back
Not ever....again

No matter how much
The anger of frustration
Burns

The faded rose
Leaves behind
The memory of her love
Smiles with brightness

More than anyone
Knows

[2nd v:]

What can she do
New to the world
That lives in lies
Bringing without warning
What one does not want
To be true

Taken away
The faded rose
Has lost her bloom

She was taken away
Too....way too soon

Her name remains
With the beauty of wonder
That glows
In her big wide eyes

She's not coming back
She's no longer
The victim
Of cruel vicious lies

She's not coming back
Everyone for her
Sheds the tears
Her end....is now here

Along....with so many
Other flowers....in the garden
That receives no water or light
Night or day

Until the end
Of a tragic
Broken day

[2nd ch:]

Everyone watches
As the rose
Begins to fade

Tears flow for her
Anger rises
For her return

But
She can not come back
Not ever again

No matter how much
The anger of frustration
Burns

The faded rose
Leaves behind
The memory of her love
Smiles with brightness

More than anyone
Knows

{close}

No more lies
Beautiful baby
Rises up with the angels
High above
In the sky

She waves and smiles
Maybe one day
She'll visit
If only
For a short while
