Turn Of The Century

[1st v:]

Blazin' through the wind
Blinded by the dust

Trying hard
Sometimes
To figure out
Just
Where I've been

Going to one place
Just to meet an end
Never knowing anyone
Never stay long enough
To remember a name
Just a face

Just trying to live a life
With no problems
And no strife

Sometimes it just gets me
Through the day
I just may die
Where I lay

[1st ch:]

Take a turn in life
Never know what they day may bring

You keep on going forward
Even when events can cut deep
Like a knife

Playin' forward
Play it all back

Emotions so wrapped up
By memories

All gifts from the
Turn of the century

Want to go back
To here and there

Only to find out you're once again
Lost in blazin' dust

You're just not home
Anywhere

[2nd v:]

Six shooter strikes without a miss
Guarantees protection
That disappears
In the mist

A mandolin plays
Strung by love so true
Now you've realized
The colors are gone
Leaving you fading in blue

On top of the mountain
Sing to the heavens

Give you back
What belongs to you
Once again

You learn....
You need
No more lessons

[2nd ch:]

Take a turn in life
Never no what the day may bring

You keep on going forward
Event when events cut deep as a knife

Playin' forward
Play it all back

Emotions so wrapped up
By memories

All gifts from the
Turn of the century

Want to go back
To here and there

Only to find you're once again
Lost in blazin' dust

You're just not home
Anywhere

You're just not home....
Anywhere
