Be Still And Know God**

Lord, we are born with a zeal for life,
despite all our earthly struggles and strife
filling our lungs with the air we breathe
living life according to what we receive.

From the moment of birth we are on the move
as all our victories come with many a bruise
crawling, walking, running and much more
can make our bodies tired and sore.

The hardest thing we can surely do,
is becoming quiet as we approach You.
Coughs and sniffles, an itch or real pain
can keep us from this spiritual gain.

Our souls need rest as much as legs and feet
the minds thoughts focused as we greet,
our Holy God that welcomes us in,
giving us great blessings in spite of our sin.

Lord, help bring us to a place of quiet and peace
that our frazzled nerves might find relief,
opening our hearts to hear Your word,
without the discourse of a chaotic world.

I will be exalted among the nations, I will be
exalted in the earth.
