The Feelings We Deny

[1st v:]

Why is it
The feelings we deny

The feelings
We try so hard
To hide

Are the emotions
That never seen to die
They're the emotions
That continue to grow

Stronger
Than ever before....

We tell ourselves
We don't care....
It means nothing

When in fact
Its our all
Of....everything

[1st ch:]

Just like a rose
That grows and blooms

Our hearts
Feed the love
Glowing so bright
Like a full midnight moon

We live each day
Filling our time
Trying to ignore
The aching love
Inside our chest

The love that never will
Be put to rest

The love that continues
To think of ways
To reconnect to the one
It adores

The one who beyond what is known
Is the only one
Who means so much more
Than ever before

Why

Why does it matter
All that is already known

As it will not....
Will not
Be
Denied

[2nd v:]

Ignoring
All that we know
Is true

Now in all truth
Who's lying
To who

Why do we pretend
When what we know
Is true....

{Break}

{One tries
The other
Denies....refuses
To even bend}

Leaving the heart
To ache for what
You deny

Leading to talk
Talk of lies
Because you believe
Better no one knows
What we
Both know in truth
Already know

So on it goes....

[2nd ch:]

Just like a rose
That grows and blooms

Our hearts
Feed the love
Glowing bright
Like a full midnight moon

We live each day
Filling our time

Trying to ignore
The aching love
Inside our chest

The love that never will
Be put to rest

The love that continues
To think of ways
To reconnect to the one
It adores

The one who beyond what is knows
Is the only one
Who means so much more
Than ever before

Why

Why does it matter
All that is already known

As it will not....
Will not
Be
Denied
