When I First Looked At You

When I first looked at you

My eyes could see beautiful wonder
What no other eyes
Would ever behold
To be true

When I first looked at you

My heart felt the love and joy
No century or man
Could ever destroy

When I first looked at you

My emotions felt a love
That was given to me
To give to you
Surely forever
A gift sent from up above

When I first looked at you

My being found
Another form so rare
Forever knowing
No other
Could ever compare

Unique and true
Is the beauty
Of love
That I found
In you

I would give to you anytime
Of all my emotions
No doubt
Forever....just for you

Until that day or night
Upon which I finally pass
The vision of you
Will forever be in my eyes
Always that shining light

The emotion beating in my heart
No amount of time
Could ever break that love
That always was
Right from the start

Your name will be on my dying breath
The memory of you forever held in place
Beyond
Even my death

When I first looked at you

At that moment
I knew what was
And would always be true

And that was the pristine knowledge
That the vision in front of me
Is my heart and soul
Never needing more
You're the one
I forever love and adore

The buried treasure
Found within the sands of time

The love
That my heart calls mine

Just like the fresh rain falls
Just as the flowers bloom
My heart hears the call

The vision of you forever shined on me
Like stars in the night
Never once did I doubt
What my heart felt and knew
Was a gift
Of heaven's delight

No room for doubt
Need ever be given way

These emotions for you shine true
Given night or day

The words of love....
Are my gift to you
